Treat for fleas same day as spay?

Species: Dog
Breed: Yorkshire Terrrier
Age: 3-6 months
I just had my puppy spayed. She came home with fleas. How long do I have to wait to use Frontline on her?

Online vet, Dr. Marie

Dr. Marie replied:

It is perfectly safe to use Frontline on a dog the same day as her spay. Be sure you use it once a month for at least 3 months and be sure you treat every animal that is in the house for 3 months as well.

Here is more information on treating fleas.
